Most aftermarket manifold bolts are shorter than the stock bolts, which after frequent heat cycles can cause them to stretch. This stretching can lead to leaking exhaust manifolds, requiring you to re-torque and potential break the bolts due to metal fatigue. With a zinc coating that can lead to premature corrosion and zinc embrittlement, these lesser manifold bolts offer have a short lifespan than the stock bolts.
The BD-Power 1041483 Exhaust Manifold Bolt & Spacer Kit features M8x1.25 – 40mm bolts that are class 10.9 and for greater thermal durability. The included 18mm spacers ensure the bolts stretch without fracturing or permanently yielding.
